Hello, I'm Daryl Julien! For more than 20 years I worked throughout the United States as an Aircraft Mechanic and Avionics Engineer. In 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic halted travel and airline support services, I decided it was time to bring forward my plans to return to my native Grenada.
I've always been passionate about boats and with a
background in Avionics, transferring my skills to Marine
Electronics was an obvious route. I qualified as a Marine
Electrician with the US-based National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) and haven't looked back, even when
working for hours at a time at the top of a mast!
As a keen DIYer, I've developed my skills in carpentry, electrics, plumbing, and general maintenance which
I've been putting to use helping clients with home
repairs and improvements.
In my years of working in the aviation industry
in the United States, it was imperative to
have a keen attention to detail, and to
maintain a clean and safe working
environment. In addition, I have a
strong work ethic, especially as it
relates to customer service, time
management and communication.

MARINE ELECTRONICS
The electrical systems on boats play a vital role in keeping you safe and comfortable on the water, but sometimes a seemingly large problem can be rooted in a simple wiring tweak, and finding it can be the hardest part. Julien's offers electrical troubleshooting services and will discuss your issues to get to the root cause, before undergoing any project, and in some instances advise on findings if you wish to tackle smaller issues in a more DIY manner. We also do general repairs, and installations.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
It is inevitable that after living in a property for some time that it will suffer from wear and tear, e.g. a torn mosquito screen, a leaking tap, a socket not working, or a rotten plank in your decking. These little jobs can add up to at least a day's work and Julien's versatile skill set can tackle most repairs and home improvement tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and tiling. We also do home improvements and refurbishment projects and have relationships with reliable tradespeople should additional resources be required.
TOOL SALES & REPAIR
To be the best builder or DIYer possible you need the right tools for the job. Julien's imports power tools and replacement batteries such as impact wrenches, impact drivers, and circular saws. If your tool is not functioning correctly we can troubleshoot, diagnose the issue, source any necessary parts, and repair your tool.
AIRCRAFT AVIONICS & MECHANICS
Avionics work encompasses tasks related to designing and programming electrical systems on board aircraft. Avionics engineers provide computer system support for all communication, navigation, and guidance systems and perform testing to ensure that those systems are working properly. Aircraft mechanics involves managing, performing maintenance, inspecting, and repairs on aircraft. It is imperative to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness for passenger travel.
